My name is Orania Hamilton also known as CALLY2001. I was born and raised in Brooklyn New York. I reside now in California since 1963. I am a Coordinator / Teacher of conversational English for exchange students. My ethnic background is Greek

           I have been nominated for the 2005, Pushcart award. The Pushcart Prize - Best of the Small Presses series, published every year since 1976, is the most honored literary project in America.
           I won the 2004, Fusion Poetry Award. Won first prize for my 9/11 poem in, Poetry Now Mag (UK) hard copy. First place in San Jose Art and Poetry festival in 2002. First place winner in Poetic Universe in 2001. 'First place winner in Poetically Speaking, 2003. Finalist in Fusion Contest 2003. Finalist in Mandy contest 2003. Guest poet at the, Channing Murray Foundation at the, University of ILL. was invited to read at the well known, Morden Towers in Newcastle, England, on July 15 , 2005, where Ginsberg, Corsco and Rumi have read, which I did attend. Also invited to read at the University of New castle, England, on October 15 , 2005 , which I will also attend. I have had two press releases, one in Apple valley, Ca and the other in San Jose Ca. Featured poet in Pasadena, CA in Jan, 2006.Founder of, Platinum Poetry in 2001, a poetry reading room and the originator of, Cally's Spring Muse in Apple Valley, Ca in 2002, which I m planning to take place again in the fall of 2006..
