Poetry by Dennis Slattery
| Hildegard Sparkles surround her young head full of stars and chips of light gifted by shafts of sacred seeing too vivid for mortal memory to ply. Each morning in the darkness She ordered her being in the folds of Benedict in convents sprouting from visions that shook apples from a nearby orchard. Disease kept her active a Diome domicile whose life found like a bird an open window an aperture to stars sparkling in the fruit trees just out of reach. |
