 Vera Charline Wareham

I have always been a poet and an artist, although my means of support have only on occasion included those talents. I have won prizes and been published both as a writer and photographic artist in a wide variety of media. In my position as Coordinator of Communications with Motorola in Austin Texas, I was a primary contributor to the monthly on-line newsletter called the Gotham Gazette. I wrote articles, edited submissions, took photographs and put together articles of all kinds concerning Motorola and its employees. I also had a travel column covering local day-trips in Central Texas, which included much of my landscape photography. At present I am working on a book tentatively called Patchwork Faces of the Moon.  I am web master of four sites. The first and very massive site created in 2000 is called Through My Window, a creative outlet, where I still display much of my work. I have also featured many talented writers and artists on my guest pages at that site.

I have enjoyed working on the Skyline magazines more than I can express. It is not easy; in fact sometimes it is quite a challenge, but the rewards are priceless. This poetry contest was the toughest so far, but reading all of these talented poets' work was a prize in itself. Thank you for the opportunity to share the wealth, and congratulations to all of our winners.
